A wonderful thing happened while at Citrix, culture change. I tasked a fantastic team to guide us from engineering-driven to design-driven. Brian led all things creative and brought great cohesiveness to our design team. We leveraged Brian's redesign of our iconography as the catalyst for reorganizing our offerings into clean groupings and suites - using his cross-functional persuasiveness & leadership. All our products became unified, leveraging the open-source design system he created. Team behavior was changed as his team modeled collaborative work styles, teaching design thinking through example and studying each internal group he worked with to provide a tailored experience as he did with our external customers. Brian was an impact player in all things customer and user experience.

My Process
I create the network for teams to connect, provide tools, nurture talent, and empower by meeting you where you are. I use my deep design expertise to craft my message to meet the audience where they are receptive. Great teams are what create great products. I am gifted at developing teams and talent by recognizing strengths and working hard to develop, champion, and advocate them to greatness.

When we decided to build an internal creative team at Handspring, we brought in Brian. He started as a team of one but quickly assembled a team of stellar designers to handle all our packaging, promotional materials, booth design, and any other creative task. He delivered it in multiple language translations, with production happening across the globe. I think there's a story about him flying to Belgium to kick some printer's ass because the quality wasn't up to his standards. We moved fast, and he ensured our excellent PMs had what they needed when they needed it. Amazing days.
