I was privileged to work on the world's first smartphone. At Handspring, I built an in-house design team in the US and Europe from scratch and leveraged relationships with world-class creative agencies.
I led the design and direction of all brand and marketing, product visual design, innovative packaging, point of sale, and large-scale trade show experiences—the options for accessories and what went with what product were endless. We created a packaging program that made it easy for the consumer to make the correct choice easily. I also implemented a packaging and design program for the numerous third-party modules the Handspring devices were designed to accept. Everything was localized in five languages, printed, and fulfilled worldwide with the highest quality packaging production of consumer products.
